Vision
It seems that all basic algorithms have been
invented so far. However, we can conclude that it is so rash.
Because, neither the probabilistic
algorithm nor the search algorithm had been researched
enough for instance. The effectiveness of a probabilistic algorithm
is shown by some examples. However, because the analysis was
difficult, a theoretical research was hardly done. The search
algorithm had been researched for many years in the field of
the artificial intelligence and the pattern recognition. However,
a theoretical research had not been done enough. Actually, continuous
speech recognition became practicable at last by basing on a
theoretical model such as HMM (hidden Markov model). The basic
algorithm which has not been discovered might exist still.
By the way, it often hears as IT (information
technology) bubble collapsed or the IT industry is already an
end. However, the one which had been called an information technology
revolution up to now is not the IT industry but a "products
and services related to the Internet", when looking from a broader
viewpoint. The "products and services related to the Internet"
can be viewed as a product based on a past basic technologies.
And, it can be considered that IT (information technology) industry
has stagnated because the longevity of the product is exhausted
before it is developed for a new product. The collapse of "IT
bubble" is not an end of the IT industry, and only means the
product life was exhausted.
The reason why the IT industry
stagnates is that the basic technology (That is, basic algorithm)
dries up to develop the new product "Information technology
revolution of the new generation". On the other hand, an untrodden
area "Genuine artificial intelligence" has been left in the
IT field. In the IT industry, there is still room for development.
Therefore, an invention of a new basic algorithm acts as a trigger
for the information technology revolution of the new generation.
And, it will be repeated several times until the human race
develops "Genuine artificial intelligence".
